1 Thessalonians 5:20-22 KJV \u2014 “Despise not prophesyings. [21] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. [22] Abstain from all appearance of evil.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today’s message is straightforward: do not despise prophesyings, but judge all prophecies. Here’s why:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is what God has commanded us to do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The scriptures instruct that prophets should speak two or three, and the rest should judge. It is our responsibility to evaluate whether a prophecy strengthens our walk with God, aligns with scripture, and guides us towards Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some prophets speak presumptuously and lie in the name of God<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are those who prophesy for personal gain, seeking to deceive and exploit. These false prophets speak without being sent by God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know in part and prophesy in part<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No single prophet possesses complete knowledge. Even the most experienced prophets can make mistakes, as they only have partial insight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have the privilege to appeal bad outcomes in the court of heaven<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just as Nineveh appealed Jonah\u2019s prophecy of doom with fasting and repentance and was spared, and Hezekiah prayed to God and had 15 years added to his life, we can seek God\u2019s mercy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evaluate all things and hold fast to what is good. I pray that the Lord will grant you the spirit of discernment to judge all things rightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
