[10] The days of our years are threescore years and ten; And if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, Yet is their strength labour and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>[11] Who knoweth the power of thine anger? Even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. [12] So teach us to number our days, That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you agree or not, life expectancy is real. The Bible acknowledges it clearly: most people will not live beyond 70 years. A few, by strength and wise choices, may reach 80 or more \u2014 but even those years often come with labor, sorrow, and struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Psalm, written by Moses, reminds us how short and fragile life really is. He compares our years to a story being told \u2014 quickly recited, then over. That\u2019s why verse 12 is so powerful<em>: \u201cSo teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;It\u2019s not about fearing death. It\u2019s about living wisely. When we realize our days are limited, we learn to prioritize what truly matters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our relationship with God<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Living in obedience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loving others well<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making eternal choices in a temporary world<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time is one resource we can\u2019t get back. Let each day count. Pause today and ask yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Am I living wisely?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can I better align my time with God\u2019s purpose?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prayer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Lord, teach me to number my days. Help me not to waste time on what doesn\u2019t matter. Give me a heart full of Your wisdom, so I can live each day with meaning, purpose, and eternal perspective.
