“And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. – Hebrews 6:11–12 (KJV)
Success must be pursued and possessed. The 6 basic things you need to succeed God’s way are:
1. Faith
Faith is the foundation of success in God’s kingdom. Scripture makes it clear that all things are possible to him that believes, and without faith it is impossible to please God.1 If your faith is weak, your results will be limited. Faith connects you to divine possibilities.
2. Hard work
God does not reward laziness. The Word instructs us not to be slothful but diligent.2 Hard work is a covenant requirement for progress. Grace is not a substitute for effort; God blesses the work of your hands, not the wishes of your heart.
3. Followership
No one succeeds alone. Every great destiny is mentored. The ability to follow instruction and learn from those ahead is a major key to advancement. Your “ant” may look small, but it carries wisdom; study those producing results and apply their proven strategies.3
4. Patience
Faith works hand in hand with patience. Many abandon their harvest because they cannot endure the process. True success takes time, and those who rush into results often fall into destruction.4 Stay the course; God’s promises are fulfilled to those who endure.
5. Wisdom
Wisdom is the principal thing. It is not optional but essential. True wisdom comes from God and is accessed through prayer, His Word, and spiritual understanding. Any wisdom outside God leads to error. When you walk in wisdom, you walk in dominion.
6. Cashflow (Money)
Money is not everything, but it is a necessary tool in life. Scripture acknowledges that money answers many things.6 It creates options and provides a level of security. However, money must be pursued God’s way, with integrity, diligence, and purpose.
Success God’s way is not accidental; it is intentional. It is built on faith, sustained by hard work, guided by wisdom, strengthened through patience, sharpened by mentorship, and supported by resources. If you align your life with these principles and remain diligent to the end, you will not just succeed; you will inherit the promises.
