4 Things to Do While Trusting God to Scale Your Business

We want to explore the simple secrets to what to do while you wait on God to scale your business. Like I said, it’s not enough to pray for a big business; you must prepare by building the capacity to scale the business!

1. Watch: Get into Position to Hear

“I will stand upon my watch…” – Habakkuk 2:1

Don’t let the pressure of business make you too busy to listen. Watch your market, customers, competitors, finances, and most importantly, listen to God.

Pray until you know what God would have you do. Pray until you know the next line of action. Pray until the hidden and unsearchable things are revealed! [Jeremiah 33:3¹]

Stand upon your watch! Observe the morning watch; be like Jesus! Pray long before your day starts! [Mark 1:35²]

2. Write: Turn the Vision into a Clear Plan

“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables…” – Habakkuk 2:2

Don’t keep your business vision in your head. Write down what you want to build, who you serve, your targets, systems, numbers, and next steps.

A vision that isn’t written is difficult to measure.

Don’t just write the vision down; publish it! Cast the vision! Those who pass by must see, read, and run with it! If you are a bride in waiting, make it clear. Any suitor that walks by must know that marriage is the focus, not any casual dating! Simple!

3. Wait: Don’t Abandon the Vision Because Results Are Slow

“Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come…” – Habakkuk 2:3

Scaling takes time. Don’t confuse delay with denial. Keep improving, keep serving, keep selling, and keep learning while you wait for the results to become visible.

4. Work: Remain Faithful and Refuse Shortcuts

“Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” – Habakkuk 2:4

Faith isn’t sitting down and waiting for God to grow the business. Faithfulness means continuing to do the right things when the results haven’t caught up yet.
