- List the options and list them honestly. Every man has many options to choose from; but many feel stuck because they are unaware of all the options that is available to them. It is pathetic how many people think they are at a dead end left with no options.
- Seek wise counsel: seek and compare wise counsel. Mostly counsel will follow a certain patterns and trends; learn to seek wise counsel before making any major decision. In a multitude of counselor, there is safety.
- Read your bible and pray about every decision. What does the Bible says about my decision. Pray about the options; let the Lord speak to you. Open your heart and mind to heart God.
- List the down sides: What are the down side; can I handle the lost should my decision fail. Is the loss manageable should I get it all wrong. If I reject my father, to go off with a guy I love, can I handle the loss of a father when the decision goes wrong?
- How does this decision align with my goals and values?
- Does my choice align with my gifts?
