God has appointed times and seasons, and waiting does not mean He has forgotten you. Stand firm in faith, remain faithful in the process, and wait with expectation until your change comes. God is faithful; He does not disappoint.
“If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” — Job 14:14 KJV
There comes a season when you must speak with the faith and determination of Job: “I will wait till my change comes!” Waiting is not always easy, especially when you have prayed, believed, worked, and expected results. But do not interpret God’s silence as His absence or delay as abandonment. Your story is still unfolding.
Waiting on God is not passive. While you wait, pray, prepare, learn, grow, work, and remain faithful. Do not destroy tomorrow because you are frustrated today. Refuse shortcuts that compromise your values, and do not abandon what God has placed in your heart simply because the appointed time has not yet arrived.
Your present condition is not necessarily your permanent condition. Seasons change. Doors open. Strength returns. Opportunities arise. God can restore what seemed lost and breathe fresh hope into what appeared finished. Wait for your appointed time! Your change will come. God is faithful, and those who trust Him will not be put to shame.1
- Father, give me grace and strength to wait faithfully.
- Lord, preserve me from discouragement and destructive shortcuts.
- Father, let my appointed season of change and restoration come forth.
