You Can Overcome The World!

You were not born of God to be conquered by the pressures, temptations, fears, and systems of this world. Through Christ, you have an overcoming life within you, and faith is the victory that enables you to stand and prevail.

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” — 1 John 5:4 KJV

The world will put pressure on your convictions. There will be temptations to compromise, reasons to fear, moments of disappointment, and voices telling you to abandon what you believe. But Scripture does not say that those born of God might overcome; it declares that whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world! Your circumstances may challenge you, but they do not have to conquer you.

Our victory is faith, faith in Jesus Christ, faith in His finished work, faith in His Word, and faith expressed through obedience. Faith does not pretend that battles do not exist; it gives you courage to face them without surrendering. Feed your faith with the Word, strengthen it through prayer, speak what God has said, and keep walking in obedience even when circumstances disagree.

Do not allow the spirit of this age to determine your values, identity, or destiny. You can overcome temptation without surrendering, endure hardship without losing hope, prosper without losing your soul, and face opposition without abandoning your assignment. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!¹

I am born of God, and I overcome the world! I refuse to bow to fear, temptation, discouragement, or ungodly pressure. My faith is my victory. I believe God’s Word, I stand in Christ, and I will walk in obedience. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.¹ By faith, I will overcome, advance, and finish my course with victory!
